The Story & Inspiration

Kitty is an artisan doll inspired by the enduring strength and resilience of Hebridean women.  While historically, Hebridean women undertook many varied and vital roles to sustain both their families and communities, you would often find Kitty quietly spinning her yarn, preparing for her weaving.

She carries a profound connection to the heritage of the Outer Hebrides, wearing traditional tweed alongside clothing infused with the physical essence of the local landscape.

 

Materials & Craftsmanship

Every element of Kitty has been thoughtfully selected and handcrafted, ensuring she carries a unique energetic signature from the islands:

  • Heritage Textiles: Crafted from locally sourced, reclaimed wool and authentic Harris Tweed.
  • Infused Elements: Her clothing features locally sourced, reclaimed cotton hand-dyed with natural elements gathered directly from the Hebridean landscape, including moss, heather, and lichen.
  • Knitwear: Her delicate, hand-knitted garment is made from premium new wool
  • Artisan Original: Kitty is a one-of-a-kind creation wearing her own unique outfit. Because each doll is entirely handcrafted, subtle variations in stitching, texture, and colour are a natural, beautiful part of her character.

  • Processing: Kitty will be dispatched within 1-3 business days following purchase. We ship across the UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, and Norway.

European Shipping Note: Due to recent import compliance regulations (GPSR), we have temporarily paused direct shipping to EU member countries.
