WELCOME TO THE HEBRIDEAN RECLAIM STORE

The Hebridean Doll

Each 13” doll is a one-of-a-kind artisan creation, handcrafted using authentic, locally sourced reclaimed Harris Tweed and wool. Dressed in natural, reclaimed fabrics and high-quality new wool knitwear, every doll is inspired by the enduring strength and resilience of Hebridean women, carrying a profound connection to the heritage of the Outer Hebrides. Each doll is individually given a traditional Scottish name.

Curation & Artistry

Each doll is a unique, single-edition creation featuring a curated combination of exclusive textiles, hand-knitwear, aprons, and headscarves.

The Natural Dye Story

The reclaimed cotton used for the aprons,  headscarves, and skirt lining, is hand-dyed using the traditional, historic, techniques once employed by Hebridean women to colour their weaving wool.  Local lichen and mosses are sustainably foraged from the land to infuse the cloth with organic, landscape driven tones.  Due to the artisanal nature of this slow process, subtle variations in colour depth may occur throughout the textile, making each piece irreplaceable.

Authenticity & Sustainability

Crafted from genuine Harris Tweed sourced locally.  In alignment with our commitment to sustainable, zero-waste practices, these dolls are created using reclaimed heritage cloth remnants.  Because the Harris Tweed Authority does not issue official Orb labels for production remnants, individual labels are not attached.
