Chrissie is an artisan heirloom doll created to honour the enduring strength and tireless work of the historic Hebridean herring girls. Following the seasonal herring fleets along the coastline, these incredible women worked long hours gutting and packing fish under harsh coastal weather, sustaining both the fishing industry and their island communities.
